Voxelrun

Your server starts when someone joins and stops when everyone leaves. You pay for the hours in between, and the first 10 GB of storage are free.

Servers run on our own AMD Ryzen 9 bare metal in the EU.

How it works

Pay-as-you-go hosting, explained

No monthly plan, no fixed fee. Your bill follows what the server actually does.

Running time is metered

While the server runs, compute is metered continuously against your credit balance. The rate depends only on the RAM you picked.

Stopped means €0 compute

Stop the server — or let idle auto-stop do it when everyone leaves — and the compute meter stops with it. No burning money overnight.

Your world is kept, cheaply

Storage is billed separately so a stopped server never loses its world. The first 10 GB of disk are free; space above that costs €0.10 per GB per month.

A monthly cap kills bill shock

Every server has a monthly compute cost cap. Even if it runs 24/7 all month, compute charges stop at the cap — the worst case is a known number, not a surprise.

Pricing

Simple pricing. No tricks.

One rate at any size: 5 credits per GB of RAM per hour, billed by the minute and only while the server runs. The first 10 GB of storage are free; extra storage is €0.10/GB per month.

8GB

Paper with a plugin stack, or a lighter Fabric pack.

  • 8 GB of RAM reserved for you — a hard limit, not a share
  • ≈ 7 GB JVM heap; the rest is held back for the server process
  • CPU scales with the RAM you pick — more RAM, more CPU weight when the machine is busy
  • 10 GB persistent storage included — free
€0.04/ hour

40 credits / hr

≈ €2.40 runtime + €0.00 disk = €2.40 a month at 2 h/day.

Compute is capped at €20.00/month at this size — leave it running nonstop and you'll never pay more.

Idle auto-stop puts the server to sleep when nobody is playing, and wake-on-join starts it again when someone connects. You pay for the hours in between.

The machine underneath

Your own slice of real hardware.

Not a cloud VM that gets sliced thinner every quarter. One machine we own and operate, in the EU, with your RAM fenced off from everyone else's.

Bare metal, not a cloud slice

Your world runs on an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X we own. The RAM you pick is a hard container limit — nothing else on the machine can take it.

NVMe, and the disk is yours

Fast NVMe storage with a hard per-server quota, so a neighbour filling their disk can never fill yours.

EU-hosted, GDPR by default

Compute and live worlds stay in the EU. Backups are stored separately in Hetzner Object Storage in Falkenstein, Germany.

A hostname, not an IP and a port

Every server gets its own yourname.voxel.run, with an A record and a Minecraft SRV record. Your friends type one name, even when the port isn't 25565.

Basic DDoS protection at the network level.

What's included

Everything a server owner actually needs

No paid add-ons for the basics. Every server gets the full toolbox.

Vanilla, Paper, Fabric, Forge & NeoForge

Pick your server software in the wizard, or install a modpack with one click — we deploy the correct server pack for you.

Full file access

Web file manager with editor, plus SFTP for big uploads. Your world and configs are yours to touch — even while the server is stopped.

Backups included

Manual and scheduled backups with one-click restore, stored off the host machine. Pin the ones that matter.

Live console and logs

Real console with RCON, searchable log history, and log access that works even when the server is stopped.

A stable address for your friends

Every server gets its own permanent hostname — share it once and it keeps working across restarts.

Share control, keep ownership

Invite friends with granular permissions — console, files, power — while billing and ownership stay with you.

FAQ

Minecraft hosting questions, answered

It depends on the RAM you pick and the hours you play. The configurator above shows the exact hourly rate and a monthly estimate for your usage. When the server is stopped you pay only for storage above the free 10 GB — for a typical friends server that's a few cents a month.
